NEW TIMES
Stephane's to Open This Summer in Boca Raton By Laine Doss

March 27th, 2012 – Stephane's is opening this summer in Boca.
Restaurateur Stephane Lang-Willar is introducing his American & French Cuisine restaurant concept to Boca Raton this summer with Stephane's.

The combination brasserie/lounge will feature an almost mind-boggling host of specials, menus, and cocktail hours.

For instance, Monday is mussels day, when you can buy one pound of the shellfish and receive a second pound free. A twice-daily cocktail hour, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and repeating from 10 p.m. to close, will feature well-priced bar bites like escargots ($6), oysters Rockefeller ($6), Champagne risotto ($5), and melted Brie en croute ($12), and a weekday prix-fixe lunch features a three-course menu for $19.90. There's also a weekend Champagne brunch complete with almost a dozen Champagne-based cocktails.

Lunch and dinner menus focus on French specialties like bouillabaisse ($27), steak frites ($22), and mussels served eight ways ($13 to $15 for a one-pound pot).

John Bellame, formerly of Cinco Cantina and Umi Fishbar & Grill, has been tapped as executive chef, and, even more exciting, Virginia Philip of Virginia Philip Wine Shop & Academy in West Palm Beach is the restaurant's master sommelier. Philip was named a semifinalist for a 2012 James Beard award under the "outstanding wine and spirits professional" category.

Stephane's is scheduled to open this summer, though an exact date has not been set.
